Kai licensing and story boundary
Kai is intentionally open; the Kaiven fiction is intentionally not.
| Material | License | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Kai language documentation, dictionaries, corpus, lessons, and examples | CC BY-SA 4.0 | Share and adapt with attribution and the same license. |
| Lumin Text font binaries and font build source | SIL Open Font License 1.1 | Font software only. Documents made with the font are not forced under OFL. |
| Kai tools and browser input code | MIT License | Code only. |
The title Kaiven, its fiction, characters, plots, story manuscripts, illustrations, graphic-novel art, and associated story canon are reserved. The open Kai language license does not grant permission to publish, adapt, or imply official affiliation with that fictional IP.
When a file carries a more specific notice, that file’s notice controls. The full OFL text travels with the font package; the official CC BY-SA text is at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode. This is not legal advice.
